Hyderabad, August 15, 2025 — On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy delivered a powerful address at Golconda Fort, outlining a bold roadmap to elevate Telangana’s status on the global stage. The CM announced the upcoming release of “Telangana Rising – 2047”, a visionary development blueprint aimed at transforming the State into a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and $3 trillion by 2047, coinciding with India’s centenary of independence.

🌟 Key Highlights from CM Revanth Reddy’s Independence Day Speech

  • Telangana Rising – 2047 Vision Document
    Scheduled for release in December 2025, this strategic plan includes:
    • Revival of the Musi River
    • Agricultural modernization in rural areas
    • Infrastructure upgrades including greenfield highways, dry ports, and radial roads
    • Expansion of Hyderabad Metro Rail (Phase 2)
    • Development of airports in Warangal and Adilabad
  • Urban Transformation & Flood Resilience
    Hyderabad will undergo a major facelift with the Gandhi Sarovar Project at Bapu Ghat and the implementation of the Regional Ring Road (RRR). The city’s flood-prone zones will be addressed through the Hyderabad Disaster Response Force and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), which has already safeguarded ₹30,000 crore worth of public assets including 13 parks and 20 lakes.
  • Political Accountability & Public Engagement
    CM Reddy criticized previous administrations for neglecting land and water body encroachments. He urged citizens to compare past flood responses with current improvements under HYDRAA, emphasizing transparency and long-term planning.
